As part of the Abraham Accords Peace Agreement, the UAE and Israel have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in maritime transport, experience exchange, and strengthening strategic partnerships. Several officials from both countries attended the signing of the MoU by UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei and Israeli Minister of Transport and Road Safety Merav Michaeli.
Its goals are to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport, specifically maritime, as well as to develop a road map for the future based on mutual benefit, as well as to exchange experience and knowledge in order to serve the future directives for the next fifty years. Al Mazrouei highlighted that the MoU signing stems from the mutual interest of both parties in promoting cooperation in the field of maritime transport, and the desire of both countries to broaden the scope of bilateral cooperation.
